Bulgarian verbs combine aspect (perfective/imperfective) and mood (indicative/subjunctive/conditional) to precisely define the speaker's perspective on an action's completion and reality.
- Perfective aspect + Conditional mood expresses a hypothetical completed result: 'Бих прочел' (I would have read).
- Imperfective aspect + Indicative mood describes ongoing past processes: 'Четях' (I was reading).
