Use the Imperfective Past to describe actions that were ongoing, repeated, or habitual in the past.
- Use it for actions in progress: 'Четях книга' (I was reading a book).
- Use it for repeated actions: 'Всеки ден ходех на работа' (I went to work every day).
- Use it for descriptions: 'Времето беше хубаво' (The weather was nice).

Meanings
The imperfective past tense (imperfect) describes actions that were happening over a duration or occurred repeatedly in the past.
Ongoing action
An action that was in progress at a specific past time.

Actions that happened repeatedly in the past.

Describing a state or condition in the past.
