Type 2 Conditional: Unreal Present/Future
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the Type 2 conditional to talk about imaginary or unlikely situations in the present or future.
- Use the 'եթե' (if) clause with the Past Subjunctive (Past Imperfect).
- Use the conditional mood (would) in the main clause.
- Remember: This is for things that are not true right now.
Meanings
The Type 2 conditional describes hypothetical, imaginary, or unlikely situations in the present or future.
Hypothetical Present
Describing a state that is currently not true.
