Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Thai, you cannot just say 'two cats'; you must use a classifier: 'cat two body'.
- Structure: Noun + Number + Classifier (e.g., 'dog two body').
- Use 'tua' for animals and most inanimate objects like shirts or chairs.
- Use 'khon' for people, especially when counting them.
Meanings
Classifiers are words used to categorize nouns based on their shape, function, or nature when counting them.
