rodaja
When you cut some foods, you make rodajas. Think of a tomato or a lemon. If you slice them into thin, round pieces, each piece is a rodaja.
It's a useful word for cooking or ordering food. For example, you might ask for a rodaja de limón for your drink. Or you might see a recipe that tells you to cut a carrot into rodajas.
Exemplo
Córtame una rodaja de limón para el té.
