Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Dative case adds '-ին' or '-ին' to nouns to show who receives an action or who something is for.
- Add '-ին' to most singular nouns ending in a consonant: 'տուն' (house) -> 'տանը' (to the house).
- Add '-ին' to proper names or specific people: 'Արամ' -> 'Արամին' (to Aram).
- Use it for indirect objects: 'Ես գիրք տվեցի ընկերոջս' (I gave a book to my friend).

The Dative case indicates the indirect object of a verb or the recipient of an action. It answers the questions 'to whom?' or 'for whom?'.
