Negating Past Actions (မ + Verb + ခဲ့ဘူး)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To say something didn't happen in the past, wrap your verb in 'မ' at the start and 'ခဲ့ဘူး' at the end.
- Add 'မ' before the verb: မစား (didn't eat).
- Add 'ခဲ့ဘူး' after the verb: မစားခဲ့ဘူး (I didn't eat).
- This structure works for almost all action verbs in Burmese.
