Past Tense with Adjectives (လှခဲ့တယ်)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To describe a past state, simply add 'ခဲ့တယ်' (khe-de) after your adjective.
- Add 'ခဲ့တယ်' to the adjective for affirmative: လှခဲ့တယ် (was beautiful).
- For negative, use 'မ...ခဲ့ဘူး': မလှခဲ့ဘူး (was not beautiful).
- For questions, use 'ခဲ့သလား': လှခဲ့သလား (was it beautiful?).
