Bedeutung
Expressing a belief or opinion.
Kultureller Hintergrund
Using 'Fekr mikonam' is a key part of 'Ta'arof'. It allows you to be humble and avoid appearing too certain or bossy. In Dari, 'Fekr mekonom' is used similarly, but you might also hear 'Fekr mikunom' with a slight vowel shift. Tajik speakers use 'Fikr mekunam'. The Cyrillic script is used there: Фикр мекунам. In Tehran, the 'r' in 'Fekr' is often dropped in fast speech, sounding like 'Fek mikonam'.
Drop the 'Man'
You don't need to say 'Man' (I). The '-am' at the end of 'mikonam' already tells everyone you are talking about yourself.
Subjunctive Alert
If you are guessing about the future, remember to change the next verb to the subjunctive form (starts with 'be-').
