Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use Accusative for movement (where to) and Locative for static position (where).
- Movement (to): Use Accusative case. Example: Idem u školu (I am going to school).
- Position (at): Use Locative case. Example: Ja sam u školi (I am at school).
- The prepositions 'u' and 'na' change meaning based on the case of the noun.

These prepositions define spatial relationships. They change their grammatical case depending on whether the action involves movement toward a destination or a fixed location.
Directional (Motion)
Indicates movement toward a destination.
“Idem u Zagreb.”

Indicates a fixed position or location.
