Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Bulgarian, adverbs usually sit right before the verb they modify, but they are flexible for emphasis.
- Place adverbs before the verb: 'Той бързо тича' (He quickly runs).
- Adverbs of time can start the sentence: 'Днес отивам на работа' (Today I go to work).
- Avoid placing adverbs between a clitic and the verb: 'Не го бързо направи' is wrong.
