Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Personal pronouns replace names to identify who is performing an action; remember that Russian has a formal 'you' (Вы).

  • Use 'Я' for 'I' and 'Ты' for 'you' (informal). Example: Я здесь (I am here).
  • Use 'Он/Она/Оно' for 'he/she/it'. Example: Она работает (She works).
