Negating Verbs with 'Ne'
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Slovenian, simply place the particle 'ne' directly before the conjugated verb to make it negative.
- Place 'ne' before the verb: 'Jaz ne jem' (I do not eat).
- The verb remains conjugated: 'On ne spi' (He does not sleep).
- No extra 'do' support is needed: 'Ne vem' (I don't know).
