Ukrainian has six primary vowel sounds that are always clear and crisp, unlike English vowels which often blur into 'schwa' sounds.
- Vowels are always fully pronounced: 'а' as in 'father', 'о' as in 'more'.
- The vowel 'и' sounds like a short 'i' in 'bit', while 'і' is a long 'ee' in 'see'.
