Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Armenian passive voice is formed by adding the suffix '-v-' to the verb stem, followed by the auxiliary verb 'linel'.
- Add '-v-' to the verb stem: 'grel' (to write) becomes 'grvel' (to be written).
- Conjugate the auxiliary verb 'linel' (to be) to match the subject.
- The agent (the doer) is marked with the instrumental case if mentioned.
