Personal Pronouns (Ja, Ti, On, Ona, Ono, Mi, Vi, Oni/One/Ona)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Croatian personal pronouns replace nouns as subjects; remember that Croatian is a 'pro-drop' language, meaning you can often omit them.

  • Use 'Ja' for 'I' and 'Ti' for 'you' (singular, informal). Example: 'Ja sam student.'
  • Use 'On/Ona/Ono' for he/she/it. Example: 'Ona radi.'
  • Use 'Mi/Vi/Oni' for we/you(plural or formal)/they. Example: 'Mi učimo.'
Subject (Pronoun) + Verb = Sentence
