Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To say 'in' a place in Armenian, add the suffix '-ում' (-um) to the noun.
- Add -ում to nouns ending in a consonant: տուն (house) -> տանը (in the house - note stem change).
- For most nouns, simply attach -ում: սենյակ (room) -> սենյակում (in the room).
- The suffix -ում indicates static location, answering the question 'where?' (որտե՞ղ).
