Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'အောင်' (aung) after a verb to express 'so that' or 'in order to' achieve a specific result.
- Attach အောင် directly to the verb stem to show purpose: စားအောင် (so that [one] eats).
- Add နိုင် (naing) before အောင် to emphasize ability: သွားနိုင်အောင် (so that [one] can go).
- For negatives, use the မ...အောင် pattern: မနောက်ကျအောင် (so as not to be late).
