Basic Comparisons: 'Daha' and '-dan/dən'
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To compare two things, add the '-dan/-dən' suffix to the thing you are comparing against and use 'daha' before the adjective.
- Use the ablative suffix (-dan/-dən) on the reference object: 'Məndən' (than me).
- Place 'daha' before the adjective to mean 'more': 'daha böyük' (bigger).
- Vowel harmony determines the suffix: use -dan after back vowels, -dən after front vowels.
