Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The ablative case (-dan/-dən) tells us where something comes from, even when talking about people.
- Add -dan or -dən to the pronoun based on vowel harmony (e.g., mən + dən = məndən).
- Use it to express 'from' a person: 'I heard it from him' (Ondan eşitdim).
- It is also used for comparisons: 'He is taller than me' (O məndən hündürdür).
