Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use 'ຖືກເວົ້າວ່າ' (is said that) or 'ມີການກ່າວວ່າ' (it is said that) to report information without naming the source.

  • Use 'ຖືກ' + verb to make it passive: 'ຖືກລາຍງານວ່າ' (it is reported that).
  • Use 'ມີການ' + verb to create an impersonal report: 'ມີການບອກວ່າ' (there is a saying that).
  • Place the reporting phrase at the start of the sentence for emphasis.
