Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Adverbs of degree tell us 'how much' an action or quality happens, usually placed directly before the word they modify.

  • Place the adverb before the adjective or verb it modifies: 'Много хубаво' (Very beautiful).
  • Use 'малко' for small amounts and 'много' for large amounts.
  • They do not change form (no gender or plural agreement).

Meanings

Adverbs of degree modify the intensity of adjectives, other adverbs, or verbs. They clarify the extent to which something is true.
