Count them as a single syllable. This is the most common way to fix a line that is one syllable too long.
Look for the 7-8 syllable pattern. If it's 8, it's likely trochaic. If it's 7, the last foot is 'catalectic' (missing a syllable).
Check if it's 'copii' (vowel) or 'oameni' (palatalization). Only 'copii' adds a syllable count.
Use the 11-syllable (endecasilab) measure. It's the gold standard for Romanian classical forms.
