बीच में

When referring to 'in between' two specific nouns, use the structure: [Noun 1] और [Noun 2] के बीच में।

टेबल और कुर्सी के बीच में एक बिल्ली है। (There is a cat between the table and the chair.)

When referring to 'in the middle of' a single noun (e.g., in the middle of the road), use the structure: [Noun] के बीच में।

वह सड़क के बीच में खड़ा था। (He was standing in the middle of the road.)

When using 'बीच में' to describe something happening 'in the middle of' an action or event, it often comes before the verb.

उसने बातचीत के बीच में बोलना शुरू कर दिया। (He started speaking in the middle of the conversation.)

'बीच में' can also be used to mean 'in the interim' or 'meanwhile', referring to a time period.

मैं नाश्ता कर रहा था, और बीच में फ़ोन बज गया। (I was having breakfast, and in the interim, the phone rang.)

When 'बीच में' is used with a possessive pronoun, the possessive marker 'के' is still present. For example, 'मेरे बीच में' is grammatically incorrect for 'between me'; instead, you would say 'मेरे और उसके बीच में' (between me and him). However, if you are referring to a space 'in the middle of' something associated with a pronoun, you would use 'के बीच में'.

मेरे विचारों के बीच में एक नया विचार आया। (A new idea came in the middle of my thoughts.)
