Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To ask a negative question in Kazakh, add the negative suffix to the verb and use the question particle.
- Add -ma/-me/-pa/-pe to the verb root: 'Barma' (Don't go).
- Attach the question particle -sy/-si or -ba/-be: 'Barmaisyz ba?' (Aren't you going?).
- Keep the word order flexible but keep the verb at the end for standard questions.
