Lao characters have a specific flow. Starting at the wrong point makes the character look disjointed and unrecognizable to locals.

Wrong: Writing ກ without the slight 'beak' or starting from the wrong side.
Richtig: Starting from the bottom left and drawing the 'beak' at the top.

These two letters sound similar but belong to different classes. Mixing them up will result in the wrong tone and a different meaning.

Wrong: Confusing High Class 'kho' (ຂ) with Low Class 'kho' (ຄ).
Richtig: Recognizing that ข has a head that turns 'in' while ค has a head that turns 'out'.

In Lao, the length of the vowel matters. Short, abrupt vowels function like stop consonants, making the syllable 'Dead'.
