To make it a bit softer, you can add Bhaiya (brother) at the start. For example, Bhaiya, yeh order nahi kiya tha. It sounds natural and polite. If you want to be more specific, replace yeh with the item name. Like, Maine pizza order nahi kiya tha.

Restaurants are the primary battleground for this phrase. Use it when the soup is tomato but you asked for corn. Use it when the online shopping package arrives with a shirt instead of shoes. It is also great for metaphorical situations. If a friend gives you unsolicited advice, you can jokingly say it too. It shows you are confident and know what you asked for.

Don't use this if you simply changed your mind. That is rude! If the food is correct but you just don't like it, this phrase won't help. Also, avoid using a harsh tone with service staff.
