Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Embedded questions turn a direct question into a statement by adding a suffix like '-ಎಂದು' or '-ಅನ್ನು' to the verb.

  • Change the verb to a noun-like form (participle or verbal noun).
  • Add a connector like 'ಎಂದು' (that) or 'ಅನ್ನು' (the fact that).
  • The main sentence ends with a standard verb like 'ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ' (don't know).
