Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'Եթե' (If) with the subjunctive to set a condition, then use the Imperative to give a direct command or advice.
- Use 'Եթե' + Subjunctive for the condition: Եթե անձրև գա... (If it rains...)
- Use the Imperative for the result: ...հովանոց վերցրո՛ւ (take an umbrella).
- Always place the 'shesht' (accent) on the last vowel of the imperative verb.

Learners often use 'Եթե ունես' (Indicative) instead of 'Եթե ունենաս' (Subjunctive).
