Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'သော' to describe nouns (relative clauses) and '၍' to connect actions or show sequence.
- Use 'သော' after a verb to turn it into an adjective: 'စာဖတ်သောသူ' (The person who reads).
- Use '၍' to connect two sequential actions: 'ထမင်းစား၍ ကျောင်းသွားသည်' (I ate and went to school).
- Both particles attach directly to the verb stem or suffix without spaces.

Meanings

Relative Clause (သော)
Turns a verb phrase into a modifier for a noun.
“လှပသောပန်း (Beautiful flower)”
“လာမည့်သူ (The person who will come)”
Sequential Action (၍)
Connects two verbs where the first action leads into the second.
“ရေချိုး၍ အဝတ်လဲသည် (Bathed and changed clothes)”
