Past Tense Word Order with Clitics
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Serbian, short auxiliary verbs (clitics) must always sit in the second position of the sentence.
- Clitics like 'sam', 'si', 'je' cannot start a sentence.
- They must follow the first stressed word or phrase.
- If you use a pronoun, the clitic follows it immediately.
