Operating a motor vehicle.

🌍

文化的背景

In Bangladesh, driving is on the left side of the road. Traffic in cities like Dhaka is extremely dense, and 'গাড়ি চালানো' requires constant use of the horn to alert rickshaws and pedestrians. Kolkata is famous for its yellow Ambassador taxis. 'ট্যাক্সি চালানো' is a common profession, and many drivers have been doing it for generations. For many Bengalis living abroad (UK, USA, Canada), 'গাড়ি চালানো' is a primary means of independence and is often one of the first skills they master upon arrival. In villages, 'গাড়ি' might still refer to a tractor or a small motorized van (Nasimon/Karimon). Driving these requires different skills than a standard car.
