For somewhere in a remote area
a gamer is still holding out against the invaders.
If I ask you to name a famous French character who walks the country
with a bottle that makes him stronger you'd say:
Richard Virenque!
you'd obviously say: Asterix The Gaul!
The comic was adapted on any imaginable media: Kinder pins
board games toys movies mustard jars cartoons
and of course video games.
Asterix existed in video games before Amstards:
"Asterix and the Magic Cauldron" in 1986
"Asterix and the Secret Mission" on Master System
"Asterix" for NES
"Asterix & Obelix" on Super Nintendo
"Asterix: Search for Dogmatix" on GameBoy etc...
and last year was released "Asterix at the Olympic Games" for Xbox 360
proving the license still runs.
My favourite game will always be the Arcade version released in 1991
in which I think I spend a fortune
but since one had to sell his house to buy a Neo-Geo to play at home
we had to settle for rotten crap like "Asterix and the Great Rescue"
especially made in order to torture Sega gamers.
I really reaaally don't want to play it
but thing is if I don't
more people will get scammed and will play this game.
Oh Gosh this music...
it outdoes any other Megadrive music.
