과거 시제에서 의미가 변하는 동사들 (conocer, saber...)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Some Spanish verbs change their meaning when used in the preterite tense because they focus on the start or completion of an action.
- Conocer in preterite means 'to meet' (for the first time): 'La conocí ayer'.
- Saber in preterite means 'to find out' or 'to discover': 'Supe la verdad'.
- Querer in preterite means 'to try' (affirmative) or 'to refuse' (negative): 'Quise ir' vs 'No quise ir'.
Overview
Pretérito Indefinido)와 불완료 과거(Pretérito Imperfecto)에서 완전히 다른 의미를 만들어냅니다. 동사 하나 가격에 두 개를 얻는 셈이죠. 인스타그램을 스크롤하고 있다고 상상해 보세요.Lo conocía라고 말한다면, 이미 알고 지내던 사이라는 뜻입니다. 하지만 Lo conocí라고 한다면, 바로 그 파티에서 처음 만났다는 뜻이 되죠.Preterite Conjugation of Key Verbs

'Supe' 함정 피하기
supe를 영어의 'knew'와 헷갈리지 마세요. 스페인어에서 supe는 정보를 '알게 된' 순간, 마치 전구에 불이 켜지듯 깨달은 순간을 뜻해요. De repente supe la verdad.
