문화 노트
Bulgarian writers like Ivan Vazov use the 'Historical Present' mixed with aspect to make historical events feel immediate and heroic.
In village traditions, stories are often told using the Renarrative mood, which still strictly preserves these aspectual distinctions.
Bulgarian aspect is a core feature of Slavic languages, but Bulgarian is unique because it kept the complex Old Church Slavonic tense system (Aorist/Imperfect) while others lost it.

No. In the present tense, you almost always use the imperfective aspect. Perfective verbs in the present are usually reserved for 'да'-constructions.
Look for prefixes (на-, за-, про-) or changes in the suffix (купувам vs купя). Learning them in pairs is essential.
