Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the Past Perfect to talk about an action that happened before another past action.

  • Use Aorist for completed single actions: 'Той купи хляб' (He bought bread).
  • Use Imperfect for ongoing past states: 'Той спеше' (He was sleeping).
  • Use Past Perfect for the 'past of the past': 'Той беше купил хляб, преди да се прибера' (He had bought bread before I came home).
