Whenever you see 'za' (for) followed by an action, 99% of the time it must be a verbal noun. 'Za jelo', 'za čitanje', 'za spavanje'.

The subject of the participle clause must match the main clause subject. Avoid switching subjects mid-sentence.

Infinitives cannot be the main verb of a clause; they need a modal or auxiliary verb.

Wrong: On je raditi.
صحيح: On voli raditi.

Again, the subject of the participle must be the same as the main verb. The store didn't buy the bread!

Wrong: Kupivši kruh, dućan je bio zatvoren.
صحيح: Kupivši kruh, otišao sam kući.
