Erreurs courantes

You cannot use a pronoun as the head noun in a relative clause. Use a specific noun instead.

Wrong: ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ಅವನು (The I-saw he)
Correct: ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ (The person I saw)

Do not put a question mark in the middle of a sentence for embedded questions.

Wrong: ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ? ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು (He where goes? I know)
Correct: ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು (I know where he goes)

Avoid overusing 'antha' in participles when a simple suffix suffices.

Wrong: ಬರುವಂತಹ ಮನುಷ್ಯ (The coming man)
Correct: ಬರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ (The coming man)
