Adverbial phrases add context to your verbs by telling us how, when, or where an action happens.
- Manner: Use 'cu' + noun (e.g., 'cu atenție' - carefully).
- Time: Use temporal markers like 'astăzi' or 'la ora opt'.
- Place: Use prepositions like 'în', 'la', or 'pe' (e.g., 'la școală').
Meanings
Adverbial phrases are groups of words that function as an adverb to modify a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
Manner
Describes the way an action is performed.
“Ea vorbește cu entuziasm.”
“El lucrează cu grijă.”
Time
Specifies when an action occurs.
“Ne vedem dimineața.”
“Am ajuns la ora șase.”
Place
Indicates the location of the action.
“Stau în București.”
