In Pakistani schools, teachers often use 'Aasaan' to encourage students. However, if a student says an exam was 'aasaan', they might be seen as overconfident unless they actually scored high. The phrase is often used in the context of 'Mehmaan-nawazi' (hospitality). A host will say a difficult task is 'aasaan' to make the guest feel at home. The concept of 'Aasaani' is spiritual. It's believed that God makes the path of the righteous 'aasaan'. Young people in cities like Karachi or Lahore often mix English, saying 'Yeh easy hai' instead of 'aasaan', but 'aasaan' remains the soulful, standard choice.
