Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Bulgarian, you must use a negative particle before the verb AND a negative pronoun or adverb in the same sentence.
- Always use 'не' before the verb: 'Не знам' (I don't know).
- Add negative words like 'никой' (nobody) or 'нищо' (nothing) to complete the negation.
- Example: 'Не виждам никого' (I don't see anyone - literally 'I don't see nobody').
