Expressing Duration (Продължителност)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'от' for actions that started in the past and continue now, and 'за' for intended or planned periods of time.
- Use 'от' (since/for) for ongoing actions: 'Живея тук от две години' (I've lived here for 2 years).
- Use 'за' (for) for planned durations: 'Отивам в София за три дни' (I'm going to Sofia for 3 days).
- Use 'през' (during) for a period within which something happens: 'Работя през деня' (I work during the day).

Ongoing Duration
Indicates an action that began in the past and is still happening in the present.
