Usage of Renarrative for Rumors/Uncertainty
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the Renarrative to report information you didn't witness personally, effectively saying 'I heard that...' without using extra words.
- Use the -l participle (минало причастие) as the base for the verb.
- Crucially, drop the auxiliary 'е/са' in the 3rd person to signal hearsay: 'Той бил' (He was - they say).
- Keep the auxiliary 'съм/си/сме/сте' for 1st and 2nd person forms.
