Present Tense for Future Actions (with time expressions)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Croatian, you can use the present tense to talk about the future if you add a time expression.
- Use the present tense verb: 'Sutra idem u školu.' (Tomorrow I go to school.)
- Always include a time word: 'Sutra' (tomorrow), 'sljedeći tjedan' (next week).
- The context makes it clear: If you say 'tomorrow', the verb naturally becomes future.
