Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Implied conditionals allow you to drop the 'if' (যদি) word while keeping the conditional meaning through verb conjugation.
- Use the conditional verb form (ক্রিয়াপদ) to imply 'if' without saying 'যদি'. Example: 'আসবো' (I would come).
- Ensure the main clause matches the tense of the implied condition. Example: 'বললে শুনতাম' (Had you told me, I would have listened).
- Context is king; the listener must understand the hypothetical nature from the verb ending.
