Don't use it for specific points in time. If you mean 'this Monday', use the accusative. Diesen Montag is correct. Dieses Montags sounds like you are from the 1700s. And not in a cool way. Another mistake is forgetting the -s on the noun. It's eines Tages, not eines Tage. Your tongue might trip. Just keep practicing. People often mix up meiner Meinung nach and meines Erachtens. Don't say meines Erachtens nach. The nach is redundant and wrong. It is like putting ketchup on a fine steak. Just don't do it. Also, watch out for those feminine nouns. Most don't take an -s.
