Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
In Khmer, you don't need 's or 'of'; simply place the owner directly after the object.
- Place the possessed item first: 'Book' + 'Me' = 'My book'.
- No extra particles are required for basic possession.
- The word order is always: [Object] + [Owner].
Meanings
This rule defines how to indicate ownership by placing the possessor noun or pronoun immediately after the possessed noun.
Direct Possession
Indicating that something belongs to a person or entity.
