Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To make most masculine nouns ending in a consonant plural, simply add the suffix '-и' to the end of the word.
- Add '-и' to one-syllable nouns: 'град' (city) becomes 'градове' (wait, this is an exception, use 'стол' -> 'столове' - no, stick to simple: 'ден' -> 'дни').
- Add '-и' to most multi-syllable masculine nouns: 'ученик' (student) becomes 'ученици' (students).
- If the noun ends in a consonant, the plural is almost always '-и'.
