Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Danish nouns are either 'en' or 'et' words; you must memorize the article with the noun as there is no logical rule.
- Use 'et' for neuter nouns: et hus (a house).
- Use 'en' for common nouns: en hund (a dog).
- Always learn the noun with its article: 'et barn' not just 'barn'.
