Hungarian suffixes change their vowels to match the last vowel of the word root so they sound harmonious together.
- Back-vowel words (a, o, u) take back-vowel suffixes (e.g., ház-ban).
- Front-vowel words (e, i, ö, ü) take front-vowel suffixes (e.g., kert-ben).
